Since 2014, I've specialized in servicing, repairing, and refurbishing vintage and antique sewing machines, including treadled, hand-cranked, and motorized models.  What began as a love of mechanics and sewing grew into a passion for bringing old sewing machines back to life.

From an early age, my love of mechanics was shaped by my family - from my father's work as a locomotive machinist and his drag racing projects to riding dirt bikes with my brothers.  That passion has continued through the vintage vehicles I enjoy with my husband, Harvey.  Harvey's finish carpentry background and meticulous attention to detail have enhanced the thoughtful care and precision I bring to my work in the shop.

Along the way, I've been grateful to have the privilege of learning from my mentor, Jan Sabin (Mr. Sew Dandy), who has been practicing this craft since the mid-1990s.  His guidance has helped deepen my knowledge and strengthen my commitment to preserving not only function, but also artistry and history.

As owner and head technician, I give each machine the thoughtful, hands-on attention it deserves, and Harvey helps with day-to-day operations, managing parts and accessories, and welcoming visitors as a familiar presence around the shop.
